Protect Your Skin this Summer

Summer is finally upon us with the arrival and passing of Memorial Day! As we begin to shed clothes and spend more time outside, it is time to start taking precautions to protect our skin so we can fully enjoy the outdoors and look fabulous all summer long.
The most important thing to protect against in the summer is sunburn. And while you are right to think the best way to avoid sunburn is to stay out of the sun, this is not the ideal practice. Moderate amounts of sunlight can provide our bodies with vitamin D, which is essential for maintaining proper calcium levels that promote strong teeth and bones. Therefore, it is actually recommended to get some sun this summer -- but it doesn't take much, only 15-30 minutes per day.
And to protect yourself while getting some sun follow these steps:
-Stock up on and use copious amounts of sunscreen
-Consume Antioxidant-rich foods
